70th birthday celebration

Antler Inn was such a great house! Getaway to celebrate dad's 70th. Plenty of room for 9 of us and the house had something for everybody. Dad especially loved the fireplace and the grandkids loved having air hockey tournaments in the game room. The house was super clean, had all dishes etc you would need, and close to tubing and skiing. And we actually did see deer right in the backyard! Excellent time and would love to stay there again!

We were a group of 9 - 2 families - 4 adults with 5 kids- and we all really had the best time. The house was very well maintained and just what you want when you come to the high country in December. The house was decorated for Christmas which was a nice touch. Our kids especially enjoyed the hot tub and air hockey table and we loved having a separate den for them to hang out in. The house was very well equipped from linens to s’more sticks, boot/glove dryers, and plenty of blankets. The host checked in on us several times and is probably the best communication I’ve ever had from a rental agency. I am a picky renter and I will rent this place again. Plenty to do in the area - we enjoyed the sleds in the garage at the free sledding hill in the town of Beech Mountain which is a few minute drive away, also skied Sugar Mountain & tubed and my kids loved Sugar Creek Gem mining too. On the drive to the house - this was my first time on Beech Mountain and I have not spent much time in the High Country and so if you are a frequent visitor you probably know this - but the roads on the mountain are steep and windy and the last 1/4 mile to the house is on a dirt/gravel road… when they say 4WD and snow chains recommend in the winter - I would listen. Overall truly excellent - we will be back!

B.

The Antler Inn was a magical destination for our large family during this past holiday season. Everything was decorated beautifully for the holidays including a gorgeous Christmas Tree, decorated fireplace, plate and milk cup for Santa to leave by the fireplace, Merry Christmas mugs, etc... Our family felt so welcomed by those thoughtful extras. The house is marvelous for a large gathering, eating dinners together and plenty of seating for all. It is wonderfully spacious and beautifully appointed. Every room has lovely space, furniture and wonderful views. The game room downstairs with air hockey was a hit with my grandkids, and the hot tub was delightful for tired adults after skiing/snowboarding. The balconies were even enjoyed during a warm spell and for watching the wildlife. The overall floorplan allows for large meals and watching of ballgames together, plus the easy access first floor large bedroom was excellent for our older family members with limited mobility. We are owners on the mountain, but our cabin couldn't accommodate our whole extended family, so I rented this after admiring it externally for years on my daily walks. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Antler Inn and Happy New Year.
